Clarion, PA - 4/28/01 - MF4 opening for Everclear

Hi, this is Rachel. On April 28 I went to the Mayfield Four concert in Clarion, PA. My friend Royce, who is the tour manager for the band, was nice enough to give us an all-access pass to the show, and we were able to not only watch their set from side-stage, but meet the guys afterwards!

So their music is great and they put on a super rock show! I only wish they had done my favorite song so far, "Don't Walk Away"... maybe later! :) Anyhow, their music has a lot of power and you can tell that they are musicians for the right reason: just plain love of music and making it. The kids at the show seemed to really enjoy The Mayfield Four, and then before I knew it, they were done.

So Royce grabbed me during Everclear's set and led me to the locker room the band was hanging out in. I was still kind of deaf when I went in there, so I was either talking too quietly or loudly, but I tried! Here are my thoughts on the guys:
Myles...I'll stray away from technicalities for a moment and mention my personal opinion: he's very attractive! His blue eyes pierce right through you and I couldn't help but practically stare. Great hair and tattoos, too, from what I could see of the ones on his arms. He seems like a great person to have a long conversation with...
Zia...you would never believe that this is the same guy that was going crazy on the drums a few minutes earlier! He seemed very suave and laid-back, well-educated, warm, and sincere.
Marty...he's very friendly and comical, and didn't seem to mind the crappy catering of Clarion University while eating a roll with just cheese inside. He also generously gave me a nice gift, which was unexpected.
Alessandro: a quiet guy with what seems like a really nice personality...new to the band, making them actually Four again.

So they all kindly signed the CD I brought with me, and we just chatted about random things. They're great guys, and I hope to meet up them again someday. Rock on!

Sincerely,
