Official Biography from the Second Skin Release From official website - early Spring 2001 The Mayfield Four are:
Myles Kennedy - vocals, guitar
Caution... The mathematically challenged threesome hail from the metropolis of Spokane, Washington. Forewarned is forearmed and you are now on your own recognizance, but first a little history. The Mayfield Four are pre-childhood friends (who embody grown children), drawn together by their mutual love for peace, love, small farm animals and their unflatulent desire (although sometimes excremental) to play rock music for the masses. The theatrical threesome draw their influences from such diverse artists such as Led Zeppelin, the Police, Motown, Englebert Humperdink and the controversial rap artist formally known as 2DPINYABHole. All three members graduated from the same high school and went on to study at various colleges in the region. They spent ten plus years playing in several bands, often times doing it with one another and sometimes with each other (over and over) but never all together at the same time until the formation of the Mayfield Four. It was this band's demo tape recorded in roughly thirty hours that got the attention of many, many, many a fine record labels. The band settled with EPIC Records in May of 1997. The threesome four are a versatile and dynamic powerhouse musically, moving from dark and graceful moments to muscular sphincter-tightening bowelic movements. In a nutshell, "This band Rocks!" Rocking with the Mayfield Four, next to the motherflow, is a unique experience. The band explains, "We want you to rest unhurried and partake of the angelic vibrations of the violet ray." The band asks that you experience a timelessness of what can become the coming of culture of a new golden age and let the elements do their purifying work within and without for the greatest number of people. |
